In July of this year MAJET ran a Manga Drive to distribute donated Manga and picture books to children in earthquake/tsunami affected areas. All Manga were donated by Samurai Factory Inc. (thanks Samurai Factory!), a company in Tokyo that collected over 70,000 Manga to be distributed to Manga lovers of all ages in the Tohoku area, just to put smiles back on people’s faces.

With the help of Andrew Frisa (Kesennuma), Michael Luzia (Onagawa), Katie Oi (Minami-sanriku), Lies Van Keer (Shiogama), Hung Ho (Sendai), and Henry Ngai (Ishinomaki), we were able to distribute approximately 6,000 Manga to areas that needed it most! Thanks guys!

What: A quiz night of epic(or whatever sacred text you prefer) PROPORTIONS!
Why?: ... FUN!

COVER CHARGE: We'd like to ask 200 yennies from everybody to help pay for snacks and edibles.

***2,000 yen nomi is, as always, optional. Game face and/or thinking cap is 100% required.***

PRIZES: As is tradition, the winning team will receive something silly from Don Quixote.

So you think you're a wiseguy, eh? Wanna put your pride where your mouth is? Its Quiz time!

Come on out for a night of fun, and for a good cause too! Proceeds from this event will be donated to Miyagi's St. Baldricks event, an event to help raise money to help fund the fight against childhood cancer. Just by participating in a nomi-houdai you will be donating to a great cause! How awesome are you??!!!

The event will cost 2500￥ and will include a two hour nomi, our awesome trivia quiz (with prizes), speed dating, and a live auction! We will be auctioning off special services that you can provide to... your fellow MAJETS, in order to raise money for St. Baldricks and help strengthen our interprefectural ties. Cute huh.

Time: Meet at 5:30. Nomi and pub quiz will begin promptly at 6:00

How to contribute:
1) Attend our event - and RSVP!
2) Donate any valuable services for the auction.

From the MAJET team= MAJET Mexican Dinner for two- Stop by Stacey's casa for delicious Mexican tacos with the MAJET crew. Good for you and one friend.

From Stace "the mace" Taplin= Bed and Breakfast in Sendai- No need to stress over sneaking you friend into a Super Hotel, stay one night in Sendai, a breakfast is included!

From Cameron "his name means shrimp in Spanish" Peek= Japanese Service- Whatever help you need dealing with the system. Cameron doesn't really care He'll take you to go and get an STD check, or whatever! How about 3 hrs

From Claudine "recently turned vegan-teetotaler" Bennent= Singing lessons with optional non-dirty, nothing below the belt massage- not an hr. *freaking (she did not use this word) long massage, unless she feels like it.
